Model 501 was created around 1998 as an original way to secure long hair. The hair is wrapped from top to bottom around the model's own eccentric pin, and the clip closes around the resulting shape perpendicular to the head. The result is a sculptural, elegantly covered updo unlike an ordinary flat hair clip.

The model is built as a lightweight shell with walls approximately 3 mm thick. Its necessary strength comes not from the amount of material, but from precise curvature, proportions, and the mutual support of the clip, hair and pin.

The model is made in sizes S, M, L, XL and XXL. A smaller size can also work well in fine long hair, while the larger sizes are intended for very long and voluminous hair. The method of use is unusual and requires a short learning period at first; once mastered, the hair can be secured and released quickly.

Every HPstylstudio clip is handmade from carefully selected wood. Each piece of wood is individually shaped, sanded and finished. The result is a lightweight wooden accessory with its own character, in which the work of the hands remains visible.
