Model 311 uses a central rib, flexible side sections and a locking system that works together with the Kompletka.

The locks secure the hair knot from above against unraveling, while the Kompletka creates the necessary counter-pressure from inside. Hold therefore comes from the interaction of the clip, hair pressure and Kompletka rather than pressure at a single point.

This principle creates a secure flat updo with very low clip weight.

Kompletka No. 100 is an original component of HPstylstudio models and forms one functional unit with each clip. When inserted, it passes beneath the lower section of hair and, together with the clip’s locking system, creates secure hold and the necessary counter-pressure without excessive tightening. Its shape, position and path through the knot are part of the construction principle.

Twist the hair into a flat knot where you want to wear the hairstyle. Unlike a classic French twist or bulky bun, spread the hair more across the head and keep the hairstyle as close to the head as possible.

Place model 311 over the knot, then secure it with the Kompletka by picking up the lower section of hair close to the head beneath the knot. The clip and Kompletka must work against each other; their counter-pressure creates the secure hold.

A correctly made flat knot is not forcibly tightened. The hair holds securely while the hairstyle remains low, comfortable and follows the natural shape of the head.

Never create maximum hair pressure against the clip and Kompletka. Excessive tension can overload the wood and cause the clip or Kompletka to break.

The finished hairstyle should be secure but comfortable and should not pull unpleasantly. Over-tightening may cause discomfort or headache during prolonged wear.

Always create the flat knot with your own comfort in mind.
